Am I a Candidate for EVO ICL, LASIK, or PRK Eye Surgery?

The first step to determining if you are a candidate for EVO ICL, LASIK, or PRK eye surgery is scheduling a Free Screening.  You can schedule this appointment by filling out the fields at the bottom of this page, and a member of our Patient Care Team will contact you, or you can give us a call at 573-271-2178.

At this exam, a technician measures your prescription (refraction) and corneal thickness (pachymetry). Dr. Parker conducts a slit lamp exam to check the overall health of your eyes, and he will then recommend the best vision correction procedure for you. You will also meet with a member of our Patient Care Team to answer.

scheduling or financing questions. This exam typically takes about an hour, and you will not need to discontinue wearing your contacts prior to this visit. The purpose of the screening exam is to determine if you are a candidate for EVO ICL, LASIK, or PRK eye surgery.

Free Screening exams are available in our Cape Girardeau and Marion Offices.

Full Dilated Exam

Obtaining Your Measurements for EVO ICL, LASIK, or PRK Eye Surgery

For this exam, you will need to discontinue wearing your contacts for at least two weeks prior to this visit, depending on the type of lenses you wear.

At this exam, measurements and scans are taken to create your treatment plan for surgery. Your eyes will be dilated to check the overall health and anatomy of the anterior and posterior segments of your eyes, we recommend a driver. At this visit, you will meet with Dr. Parker two times, once at the beginning of your exam and after you have been dilated. Before you leave will meet with a member of our Patient Care Team to discuss your pre- and post-operative care and payment options.

Due to the intricate equipment used to capture measurements for surgery, Dr. Parker only conducts this exam in our Cape Girardeau office. The purpose of the full dilated exam is to prepare for surgery; therefore, we typically book this appointment in proximity to a surgery date.

You can print out our Vision Correction Packet.
