Linn M. Mangano, MD
Dr. Mangano joined Eye Care Specialists in 2011 for the provision of comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus surgery, and adult eye muscle surgery. Eye Care Specialists 4KIDS was established to host her practice and provide special attention to our youngest patients!
Subsequent to her medical school training and internship, Dr. Mangano completed a one-year neuro-ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University where she also pursued her ophthalmology residency. Dr. Mangano then pursued an additional fourth year of subspecialty training in pediatrics and strabismus, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology, and oculoplastics at West Virginia University. Dr. Mangano served as Managing Partner of Northeast Ophthalmology, PC (a private, general ophthalmology practice) in Fort Wayne, Indiana from 1996 thru 2005, before completing her pediatric ophthalmology fellowships at Duke University and Indiana University. She then functioned as an Assistant Professor in general and pediatric ophthalmology at West Virginia University Eye Institute.
Dr. Mangano is a board certified ophthalmologist, fellowship trained in pediatric ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Dr. Mangano advocates the involvement of women through memberships in Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) and Women in Ophthalmology (WIO).
Prior to joining Eye Care Specialists, Dr. Mangano practiced as a pediatric ophthalmologist with Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Associates in Providence, Rhode Island where she also served as Clinical Instructor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Division of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Mangano is always on the go! In her spare time she may be on an outdoor excursion, jetting off to Colorado for a ski trip or the east coast for the beach, or exploring some of the local treasures of this area.
